i think the title's supposed to go here?

Hello!

So, wait...how does one write a blog post again?

I had forgotten for a second there.

During the past month, I think I've started about seven posts that went to the "save as draft" pile.  They just never felt right, inspiration never struck, I never wanted to finish what I wrote. And so I didn't. I took a month-long break from blogging without planning on it or even realizing it. It just happened.
I think I've probably lost eight or nine Google Connect followers. To you who is still here and reading, thank you so very much. I am truly blessed to have you.  Note to self: those nine followers don't matter. But anybody reading this totally does.

Oh, and I'm way too chicken to look at my statistics or number of page views this past month.

To the blogs that I follow, I'll be completely honest and say that I haven't been keeping up with you as much as I should. But I'm going to start again, I promise.

I've probably gone, at max, about two weeks without blogging in the past. This was new and different and weird and strangely refreshing. It was a reminder that I could go without blogging if I wanted to. And that gave me a nice new perspective.

But that aside, I am going to start again, and hopefully be better about posting frequency. Because, sitting here, writing, forming words into sentences, sentences into paragraphs, paragraphs into a post
(and all whilst listening to Adele)...I'm reminded again that I kind of love it. A lot. When I was away, that thought would pop up sometimes--the "what would happen if I did ever decide to stop blogging?" thought. I'm now confident that I could do it. Blogging doesn't define me. But now that I'm back, I'm reminded that I don't want to stop.  And that's just where I want to be.

Sometime soon, I'll post about life. About travel {Amsterdam and our Hannibal/Moline/The Wedding trip}, about my latest play {Midsummer Night's Dream - it exceeded all of my expectations}, about little weird random musings. Though actually, you might have to hold your horses there...my laptop decided to crash on Monday and I currently have no access to pictures. This gal is a little frustrated about that, but then, it's a reminder that I can go without. My picture files and Lightroom don't define me either.

Thank you for sticking with me, y'all. You're really the best--to go a month without me and then read this haphazard little post? ;-) Yep, I'm officially blessed.

What's the most exciting thing that's happened to you this past month?

love,
hannah

  5. Hello again! For me, it's just important to find a blogging rhythm, which can just be a post or two a month--as long as they're goood, that's all that matters. And always, remember that it's quality not quantity!
The most exciting thing this month was today, when I went to a great exhibition, found out my brother got accepted into university, and bought a lovely new book.

Probably the most exciting thing about my month was being asked to do 3 family photo shoots, as well as shoot a senior's senior pictures! Yippee! I'm very excited. :-)
