hello, july

Inside my mental calender, I am still picturing myself back in May.  So I was just slightly thrown off when I realized that June had seeming disappeared and ten days ago marked the arrival of, well, July.  I don't really know when my summer started or when my school year ended--there was traveling in May, I never quite finished school, and suddenly so many summer activities hit (read: play practices for White Christmas started and somehow I no longer had time for too much else).  I'll admit it--June totally got the better of me.

And this month?  Well, we've been busy and that's not about to stop.  We had lovely relatives in town this weekend, then there's "White Christmas", and the week after that we go up to Illinois for my uncle's wedding.  Which I am unofficially photographing.  Completely pumped about that, by the way.
But between tech-week, traveling, and everything else, I'm challenging myself this, um, rest of July.  To be productive and live life to the fullest.  I'm hoping y'all will keep me accountable?

I have so many goals, so many things I want to do.  I have no idea if I'll actually be able to accomplish all of it, but I'll try.  Hard.  What's on my list this month:

---
finish a certain english book
and do that last lovely science test
so that you can officially say that you're finished for this year.

call GoDaddy.com, and get your domain name
(the domain name you bought back in January)
to actually work for your blog.
um, long story, lovelies.

buy some yellow nail polish for yourself
because yellow and nail polish are too awesome not to be one thing.

read some books on your "to read" list
and book love about at least one of them
(i know...remember book love?)

limit your time on the computer
to one hour a day (time yourself)
and be productive with what you have.

write and send the thank you notes, like you've been meaning to
and even "just because" notes to friends
because they so deserve them.

rewrite all of the pages on your blog
(about me is already done!)
and document more of amsterdam
and life in general.

make time each day to read your Bible and journal
and drink iced coffee.
and it doesn't have to be early in the morning.
(looking forward to this one)

have at photoshoot with megan (at golden hour)
expand your photographical knowledge,
and enjoy a certain new lens that's coming next week.
(the 28mm f/1.8...excited.)

laugh and smile more than necessary
be a blessing to others
and remember that
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
(Philippians 4:13)

What have your plans been for July, friends?  I want to hear about them.

6 Notes:

  1. Haha, I have some yellow nail polish. It's really bright and it makes people do a double-take but I love it. :) I'm with you on the less computer time, but it's hard when there's not much else to do. My other goals for July, or the rest of the summer, really? Exercise, try to do something crafty, and just enjoy myself. :)

  3. The summer is just flying by...I totally agree. And good luck with that new domain name - not to discourage you, but my mom bought one too, then called them and basically decided it was waay too complex for her, and got a refund or whatever. But I do hope you get it working! That would be awesome :D
