Once upon a time

There was this girl.

Who had thick, curly, frizzy hair

That occasionally (or often) was kind of a pain.

On a certain trip to The Netherlands

She spent a day outside of Amsterdam

Getting to visit these.

{They were absolutely beautiful.}

It was on this day

That the girl

Decided to wear her hair held back

By just a couple of bobby pins

And because of her faith in the anti-friz conditioner she'd used that morning

Brought along no hair bands, or other means of putting her hair up...

Despite the "wind" being in "windmill" and all that.

Now this day

Happened to be extremely windy {and extremely cold, too}.

By windmill standards, a really good day.

By frizzy hair standards:

The wrong day to wear it like this.

So basically

The wind really, really liked the girl's hair,

And not only totally got in her way

But also, as a favor, styled it for every single photo taken of her.

This girl

Would like to let you know

That if you ever visit windmills

In Holland

{which you should}

You should wear your hair securly pulled back, or at least

Bring along means of doing so.

Unless, of course

{this should be in the dictionary, under the definition of "unflattering."  ahem.}

You want extremely cool looking hair.

Which, by the way, is probably the latest trend over in The Netherlands by now.
