My dear, dear friend Guin from Singing in the Rain is having a blog party. By the name of Frolic (so you just know it's going to be pretty awesome). The questions are lovely, and there some pretty fabulous prizes, too. Do go link up for yourself!
Favorite thing about summer?
This year? It's deifnitely my schedule...crazy-busy, but because there's lots of acting, travel, and lovely friends, I could not be more excited. Now to finish school. Sigh. Also, once said school work is under control, I'm going to be making a few minerly major changes to this little blog of mine. I was thinking about it quite a bit last night...and I'm really excited. In your opinion, the best scent in the entire world?
That absolutely delish smell of when you walk into a coffee shop. Ahhh.
An embarrassing moment:
Oh, here's a little story I never to y'all about from Rome. So, the zipper from this suitcase I used to have had, uh, issues. Like, you had to zip it up in a certain way to actually get it closed, otherwise it would unzip. Not good. On our flight to Atlanta before coming home, we dropped our suitcases off, and, apparently, when they went through security someone opened mine up and search through it. And then zip it back up...not in the right way. (Thanks a lot, security.) So, at the Atlanta airport, we--and everyone else from the flight--are waiting at the luggage pick conveyer belt thing when suddenly this shoe it shoe appears in the midst of everyone's suitcases. My shoe. Then comes a giftbag, another shoe, and finally my suitcase, wide open for the whole airport to see. And, if you've seen any of my posts about Rome, you know how I make fun of myself for the not-so-fashionable wardrobe I brought along on the trip.
But, no joke, when my suitcase comes riding along there was seriously a collective gasp. It would have almost been humorous, had I not had to walk up, grab it, and look through it with my dad to make sure I had everything. Not one of my finer moments.
This is a bit overdone, but, what's your clothing style?
I hate trying to describe my clothing style. Not that I don't love clothes, or style, but it tends to change, and when it comes down to it, what I love one day I don't like on myself the next. Recently, however, I've been loving modern styles plus a hint-of-vintage appeal.
Deep question time: vanilla or chocolate?
Unless we're talking about cake (but not icing), definitely chocolate. Though I've always been the gal who can't choose and ends up getting the vanilla/chocolate twist cone at Dairy Queen. I'm indecisive, y'all.
What do you think: is the Twilight fad dying out? And if it is, are you dancing over its grave?
I honestly don't know if Twilight is dying out (not like I keep up-to-date with it or anything), but if it is, I'll totally dance over its grave. I mean, I don't take ballet three times a week for nothing, right? ;-) And this seems to be the perfect opportunity to share a certain video that I kind of laugh over every time I see it. I love Charlie's accent and dark chuckle.
Favorite quote?
"there are only two ways to live your life, one is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle." --albert einstein
I can't just pick one favorite quote (really, Guin!), but this is one I saw recently and loved. Beautiful.
Best thing that has ever happened to you and why?
The one answer is obvious: I've been saved by my Jesus and given the opportunity to live eternally in Heaven. That's obviously the bestest thing that's ever happened to everyone. But putting that aside, I think the best thing that ever happened to me my Dad's job transfer to Missouri. At the time it was so hard to leave Indiana, but God had this incredible plan, and I could not imagine living anywhere else. My dance stuidio, co-op, friends, everything...is perfect. I'm blessed.
Traveling: where would you want to go?
Everywhere, perhaps? I love traveling...y'all will get to hear about a really exciting trip I'm going on soon. Right now, I think Paris, France (and it's surrounding area) is at the top of my list. And I'd also love to spend a few weeks visiting Italy.
Favorite food?
Call me crazy, but I love sushi. Love it.
Canon or Nikon? (If you're not a photographer, don't feel like you have to answer this...)
Canon. I mean, it's the best. Duh! (Okay, no offence to any Nikon users out there, I seriously don't have anything against you. But if I use all Canon equiptment and loooove it, well, yeah.)
Are you a squeamish person? Any stories?
Kind of. In our science class for co-op, we went on a field trip that included going fishing. That included braking worms (nightcrawlers, to be exact) in half and stringing them on the hooks. I did finally do it, but, I still don't like to think about it.
| clearly rebecca thinks i'm funny. |
| i make great faces |
That was a little scary, too. Just saying.
Flipflops, bare feet, or heels?
May I say all of them? I love flipflops--I'm lost in the winter without them. Bare feet are lovely, too...I cannot have shoes on for very long periods of time, nor can I bring myself to wear them around the house. But on this five-foot-one-inch-and-three-quarter girl, heels are an amazing thing. And I'm pleased to say that I'm really not bad at walking in them at all
.
Do you like old black and white films?
Depends. In general, though, I'm not their biggest fan.
Skirts or jeans?
As much as I do love skirts (not too long, with leggings and boots, please), I'm going with jeans. Definitely at the top of my "must have in wardrobe at all times" list. (Which, for the record, came into being about five seconds ago.
Fresh or saltwater?
Fresh, though I honestly don't mind saltwater. And, of course, the ocean gets extra points for being picture-esque.Have a lovely day!
with love,
---hannah m.

I love Charlie & I love that Einstein quote, too. It's great. :) Can't wait to hear more about these blog changes. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I'm only 5'1" too...maybe I'm more like 5'1 3/4"... I don't really keep track. I just call it one word: short. *sigh* I'm also the shortest in my family, and am probably not getting much taller.
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, I can relate on lots of these points. I'm squeamish too. And hate fishing. And worms. Yeah...
And most importantly, I love that video of Charlie Reads Twilight. Absolutely hilarious! I actually liked the whole "Alex Reads Twilight" series. I'm not really a big fan....
Anywho,
